What is Rent-to-Own and how does it work?

From October 9 through October 20, 2025, we’re giving a maximum of 250 users the chance to get Forte with an exclusive rent-to-own option, available now through your User Area. You can pay over 24 months and own Forte forever once all installments are completed. We are NOT formally introducing this payment model at this stage. We are going to evaluate it in the future f there is enough interest.

Is Forte free?

Forte offers a 15-day free trial with full access to both Forte Import and Forte Export. After the trial ends, you can continue using Forte for free, but with limited functionality. Then you may purchase one of the modules or the full bundle. PLEASE NOTE: A special version of Forte (Forte for Pro Tools) is available through Avid Link to all Pro Tools Artist, Studio, and Ultimate customers with active subscriptions and perpetual upgrade plans (requires Pro Tools 2023.12 or later, English language, macOS 11+) and gives you access to an augmented free version of the software.

Which OS does Forte support?

Currently Forte only works on macOS 11 or later. Windows or Linux are not yet supported.

Just create a free account, download and run the installer.

What payment plans do you offer?

We offer both subscription plans and pay-once options. Plus, until October 20, 2025 w'll be offering an additional rent-to-own option, limited to 250 users. Please refer to the pricing page to see which solution best suits your needs.

Which DAWs are currently supported?

Forte is compatible with Pro Tools 2024.3 or later and Logic Pro 11.1 or later on macOS 11+. Your DAW needs to be set to English.

Do you offer educational discounts?

Yes, we offer edu deals to both teachers and students who are currently enrolled or teach audio courses. Please apply from the bottom link on the pricing page.

How many seats do I have with my license?

Currently, you can use Forte on up to two computers at the same time.
