Forte AI has secured an investment from Midwich Ignite, the corporate venture arm of the Midwich Group. The investment backs the next stage of Forte's work: deepening its automation tools for audio professionals and expanding from music production into audio post production across the global market.
Forte builds workflow automation for engineers, producers, and studios working in Pro Tools and Logic Pro. Since 2024 the focus has stayed narrow and practical: the repetitive technical work that sits between receiving material and starting the creative part of the job. Session organisation, stem exporting, batch processing, and the import and preparation of AAF and PTX sessions. The kind of work that quietly eats hours and mental bandwidth before anyone gets to mix or edit. Forte runs on a proprietary on-device AI engine that analyses audio locally, so sensitive and unreleased sessions never leave the machine.
That problem is what this investment is meant to address at greater scale. fMusic already handles mix preparation and stem bouncing for music production. fPost takes on the harder operational reality of post: an AAF can be technically valid and still arrive messy, with inconsistent naming, mixed content, and routing that has to be rebuilt before a session is genuinely ready to work in. Bringing that same automation discipline to post is where much of Forte's effort now goes, and where this backing matters most.
Why Midwich Ignite
Midwich Ignite invests in high-growth companies across AV and the wider technology ecosystem, with the network and operational depth of a group that has worked in professional media for decades. For Forte that combination matters more than capital alone: it means access to industry expertise and relationships across the professional audio market at exactly the point where the post production tools are scaling.
Alex Kemanes, Managing Director at Midwich Ignite, pointed to the productivity pressure studios are under, faster turnaround without giving up quality, and described Forte's automation as a way to improve efficiency without disrupting the workflows professionals already rely on.
Loris Comba, CEO and Co-founder at Forte AI, said:
"Our mission is to remove the repetitive technical work that slows down audio professionals and allow them to focus on creativity. Partnering with Midwich Ignite gives us access to deep industry expertise and a strong network within the professional audio market as we continue to expand the Forte platform."
What comes next
The investment supports Forte's product development and its expansion deeper into audio post production. Forte Audio S.r.l. is based in Turin, backed by Italian venture fund 40Jemz Ventures, and was accelerated by B4i, the startup accelerator of Bocconi University in Milan. The company is an Avid Technology Partner, and since June 2025 its products have been available directly through Avid's platforms. This step extends that path as the platform grows across the professional audio market.
