Analysis & Loading

After you select a source, fPost works through your session automatically before opening the Visualizer. Here is what happens at each step.

1
Reading your session

fPost parses your AAF file or Pro Tools session and extracts all tracks, clips, and timing information.

2
Applying recognition rules

Keywords in track and clip names are matched against built-in rules: "dialogue", "music", "sfx" and similar naming conventions are identified automatically.

3
Classifying with AI

A local AI model runs on every clip and reads the actual audio signal, not the filename. This step catches everything the naming rules miss. A live counter shows you the progress.

4
Opening the Visualizer

When classification is done, click "Continue to app". Your session opens in the Visualizer, fully organized and ready to review. From here you can move clips, rename tracks, and adjust categories before anything goes to Pro Tools.

Waveforms load in the background after the Visualizer opens. They appear progressively on each clip as they become available, so you can start reviewing your session straight away.
