Markers

Markers from your AAF file appear on the timeline as reference points. They are view-only: you can see them but not create, move, or delete them in fPost.

How to show markers

Click the triangle button in the toolbar above the track list. Markers are hidden by default; the button turns blue when they are visible.

Reading a marker

Each marker appears as a yellow line running through the full timeline at its timecode position. If the marker has a comment, the text shows in a small badge above the line.

Hover over any marker to see its full details: type, comment, timecode position, and position in seconds.

Markers are imported from the AAF file as-is. If a marker is missing, it was not included when the AAF was exported from the original session.
