Settings & Reference
Settings
Open Settings by clicking the gear icon in the top-right of the Visualizer. The Settings panel has a sidebar with five tabs.
Categories and Template
A reorderable table with one row per category: Speech, Music, SFX. Each row has:
- Drag handle: drag to reorder categories
- Name: click to rename (max 20 characters). Custom names override the default display name.
- Color: click to expand a color picker with a 23-column grid of Pro Tools colors, plus "None" and "Default" options
- Recognition: read-only label showing the original classification name
- Template Track: click to select the default Pro Tools template track for this category
- Mono to Stereo: toggle whether mono L/R pairs in this category are combined into stereo
Above the table, a Pro Tools template file selector lets you pick a .ptx file as the source for template track options. A clear button (X) removes the current selection.

Import and Organize
- Create a backup copy of the original AAF: saves the original AAF to a "Backup" folder at the end of the Pro Tools session path. Available for AAF imports only.
- Show videos in visualizer: when enabled, video tracks appear in the timeline. When disabled, they are hidden.
Audio Device
Select the audio output device for playback from a dropdown of all available system audio devices. Defaults to the system default device. The selection persists between app sessions.
Shortcuts
A read-only reference page listing all keyboard shortcuts, organized by category. See Keyboard Shortcuts for the full list.
Account
License and account management.
Set your Template Track defaults per category before starting any import. This saves time: fPost matches all tracks automatically and you only need to override exceptions. See Template Matching for the full guide.
