Audio Playback

You can audition your session directly in fPost without involving Pro Tools. All unmuted tracks play in sync from the Visualizer.

Basic controls

• Space: play and pause
• Enter: stop and return to the beginning
• Left / Right arrows: move the playhead back or forward one second
• Shift + Left / Right: jump to the previous or next clip on the selected track
• L: toggle loop mode on and off

How to loop a section

Click and drag on the timeline to select a region, then press L to turn on loop mode. Press Space to play. fPost loops the selected region continuously until you stop or turn loop off.

Solo and mute during playback

You can toggle solo and mute while the session is playing. Solo a track to isolate it: only soloed tracks will play. Mute a track to remove it from the mix without stopping playback.

Switching tracks during playback

Press Up and Down arrows to move between tracks. When you select a different track while playing, clip navigation shortcuts (Shift + Left/Right) follow the newly selected track.
