Getting Started
Minimum Requirements
fMusic runs on macOS only. Windows is not supported.
OS and hardware
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
- Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) or Intel Mac
- 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended for large sessions)
DAW requirements
- Pro Tools 2024.3 or later
- Logic Pro 11.1 or later
- DAW interface language set to English
fMusic does not support older DAW versions. Running an unsupported version will cause connection failures. Update your DAW before troubleshooting other issues.
macOS Tahoe
Full macOS Tahoe compatibility was added in fMusic 3.15.5 for both Pro Tools and Logic Pro.
DAW language
fMusic reads UI elements in your DAW to communicate with it. It only recognizes English. If your DAW is set to Italian, French, German, or any other language, fMusic will fail to connect or behave incorrectly.
Change the language in your DAW preferences before launching fMusic.
