Import Module

Import customization

Click Customize in fMusic Import to open the full configuration panel. Everything you change here persists across sessions and saves into your presets.

What you can configure

  • Category names and colors: rename any built-in category and assign a DAW color
  • Category and instrument order: drag to reorder the hierarchy
  • Instrument assignments: move instruments between categories
  • Bus routing: assign a bus or output per category or per instrument
  • Strip Silence: set threshold and minimum silence duration (see Strip Silence)
  • Stereo to Mono detection: enable and tune sensitivity
  • Color coding rules: define the DAW color assigned to each category
  • Renaming Settings: prefix, suffix, numbering, separator, case

Custom instruments

Click Add Instrument to create instruments beyond fMusic's built-in library. Assign a name, category, color, and routing for each one.

Custom instruments are not recognized by AI-R. AI-R only identifies instruments from its built-in library. Tracks assigned to custom instruments require manual assignment after import.
