How to organize tracks

Organizing a single track

To move an individual track to a different category:

1. Right-click the track name (or click the three-dot menu)
2. Select Change Category
3. Choose your desired category: the track moves there instantly

You can also delete a track from the same menu.

Selecting multiple tracks

• Shift + Click: select a contiguous range of tracks
• ⌘ + Click (or Ctrl + Click on Windows): select individual tracks non-contiguously

Batch operations

With multiple tracks selected, right-click to access:

• Change Category: move all selected tracks to a new category simultaneously
• Rename: the first track is renamed; Forte automatically renames the rest sequentially
• Delete: remove all selected tracks at once

To rename multiple tracks at once with a consistent pattern, use Batch Rename. To change how categories and instrument names appear, open Import Customization.
