Import Module

How to customize labels

Open the Customize panel in fMusic Import. Every instrument name is editable. Changes save immediately and apply on all future imports.

Editing an instrument label

  1. Open the Customize panel
  2. Click any instrument name to select it
  3. Type your preferred label
  4. Press Enter or click outside to confirm

The new label is saved. It applies to this instrument across all sessions: AI-R still identifies the instrument by signal, but displays and uses your custom label.

Adding a custom instrument

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the Customize panel or click Add Instrument
  2. Enter a name for the instrument
  3. Assign it to a category
  4. Set a color
  5. Assign a routing

Custom instruments are not recognized by AI-R. AI-R identifies instruments from its built-in library only. Tracks that match a custom instrument must be assigned to it manually after import.

Save your label and routing configuration as a preset to reuse it across sessions.
