Renaming Settings

Renaming Settings control how Forte Import handles audio files and names tracks in your DAW. The available options differ between Pro Tools and Logic Pro. To apply a one-off naming pattern to all tracks at once, use Batch Rename.

Pro Tools

• Import Audio: decide what happens to audio files when imported into Pro Tools:
  • Add: links to the original files without copying them
  • Copy: copies audio files into the session folder
  • Copy and Convert: copies and converts audio files to match the session format
• Track Height: set the default height for all tracks at the end of the import process (small, medium, large, etc.)
• Clip Renaming: choose whether to rename only the track in the DAW, or also rename the clip and the audio file itself

Logic Pro

• Import Audio: choose how imported audio is handled:
  • Convert: converts audio tracks to match the project settings
  • Adapt: adjusts the project to match the characteristics of the imported audio files
• Clip Renaming: decide whether to rename only the track in the DAW, or also rename the clip
